Terms of sale
Last updated: 28 October 2026
In short. We sell digital color grading tools (LUTs, PowerGrades, DCTL and related files). They are delivered by email right after payment. As a consumer in the European Union, you have 14 days from your order to withdraw without giving a reason (see Refunds & withdrawal). If a product does not work as described, you are also protected by the legal guarantee.
1. Who we are and scope
These terms apply to every purchase made on hugo-durand.com between Hugo Durand, sole trader registered in France under SIRET 920 779 790 00020 (“we”, “us”), and any person buying from the store (“you”). Our full identification is in the Legal notice. Film and photography services are quoted and contracted separately and are not covered by these terms.
By placing an order you confirm that you have read these terms, the Refunds & withdrawal page and the Licence agreement, and that you accept them. You must be at least 18, or of legal age in your country, to order.
2. Products
We sell digital products only: LUTs, PowerGrades, DCTL tools, node trees, installation guides, reference or sample material and related digital files (the “Products”). Nothing is shipped. The essential characteristics of each Product (content, file formats, compatible software and versions) are shown on its product page before you order.
3. Prices, VAT and currencies
Prices are shown in euros. Where the store offers it, prices are converted for display into your local currency; the exact amount you pay, including any tax, is shown at checkout before you confirm. VAT is applied where the law requires it. Your bank may charge its own conversion or international fees, which we do not control. We may change prices at any time; the price applicable to your order is the one displayed when you place it.
4. Ordering and formation of the contract
You order by adding Products to your cart and completing checkout. Before paying you can review and correct your order. The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. We may refuse or cancel an order in case of suspected fraud, resale by a reseller, an obvious pricing or description error, or a payment problem; any amount paid is then refunded in full.
5. Payment
Payment is due at the time of order, using the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and other payment providers available at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card number.
6. Delivery of digital Products
Products are delivered electronically, by a download link sent to the email address you give at checkout, immediately after payment is confirmed. Please check your spam folder and keep your files in a safe place. Download links may be limited in time or in number of downloads, as stated in the delivery email; if a link has expired or does not work, contact us and we will send a new one. We are not responsible for a failed delivery caused by an incorrect email address entered at checkout, but we will help you in good faith.
7. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have 14 days from the day you place your order to withdraw from a distance purchase, without giving any reason. This also applies to digital Products: they are delivered immediately after payment so that you can use them right away, and this does not shorten your withdrawal period. You can withdraw at any time during the 14 days with the Withdraw from a contract function of this website. If you withdraw, we refund you and you must stop using the files and delete your copies. All details, and the model withdrawal form, are on the Refunds & withdrawal page.
8. Legal guarantee, defects and support
If you are a consumer, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (Articles L.224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code) and, where applicable, from the legal guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code). In short, a Product must match its description, work as expected in the software and versions stated on its product page, and be supplied with the updates needed to remain in conformity for the period required by law. If it does not, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity free of charge and, if that is not possible or not done within a reasonable time, to a price reduction or a refund. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by these terms or by any “all sales are final” wording.
For technical help or a problem with a Product, write to hello@hugo-durand.com with your order number and a description, screenshots or the software version. We aim to reply within three business days.
9. Compatibility and creative results
Our Products are made for DaVinci Resolve (and other software where stated). You are responsible for checking that your software, version, operating system and workflow match the compatibility information on the product page before buying; a free sample or preview is offered where available. Colour rendering depends on your monitor, calibration, source footage, camera, colour space and grading workflow, so the visual result on your own footage can differ from the examples on this website. Taste and creative preference are not defects.
DaVinci Resolve is a trademark of Blackmagic Design Pty Ltd. We are not affiliated with, authorised or endorsed by this company.
10. Licence and intellectual property
Products are protected by copyright and are licensed, not sold. Your rights to use them, and what you may not do, are set out in the Licence agreement, which is part of these terms. The Hugo Durand name, logo, visual identity and all website content remain our property.
11. Your responsibilities
You agree to give accurate order information, to keep your files and any account credentials secure, not to share, resell or leak the Products, and not to use the website for unlawful purposes or in a way that harms its operation (including scraping, spamming, introducing malicious code or abusing refund and payment-dispute processes).
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury, for fraud or gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to this, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of profit, data or business opportunity) and, if you buy for professional purposes, our total liability for a Product is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not responsible for failures of third-party software, hardware, networks or services outside our control.
13. Force majeure
We are not liable for a delay or failure caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, such as an outage of a platform, hosting, payment or email provider, a cyber-attack, or a legal or governmental measure.
14. Personal data
We process your personal data as described in the Privacy policy, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law. See also the Cookie policy.
15. Complaints
Please send any complaint to hello@hugo-durand.com; we will answer as quickly as possible. If you live elsewhere in the European Union, the European Consumer Centre France can also help with cross-border disputes.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence and may bring a claim before the courts of France or of your country of residence. Otherwise, the competent courts of France have jurisdiction, after an attempt at amicable resolution.
17. Changes and language
We may update these terms. The version in force on the date of your order applies to that order. These terms are provided in English and in French; if there is a discrepancy, the version in the language of your order applies. If any provision is found unenforceable, the others remain in force.

Refunds & withdrawal
Last updated: 28 October 2026
In short. Our products are digital files delivered instantly. As a consumer in the European Union, you have 14 days from your order to withdraw and get a refund, without giving a reason. This comes on top of your legal guarantee: if a product is broken, corrupted, or does not work as described in the software version it lists, we fix it, replace it or refund you.
1. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have 14 days from the day you place your order to withdraw from a distance contract, without giving a reason. This also applies to our digital products. The files are delivered right after payment so that you can use them at once; this does not shorten your 14 days.
The law (Article L.221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, and Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU) would allow a seller of digital content to end this right once supply begins, but only if the buyer has first expressly agreed to it. We do not ask for that agreement at checkout, so your right of withdrawal stays in full during the 14 days.
2. How to withdraw and get your refund
Use the Withdraw from a contract function (two steps, available on every page of the website through the link in the footer) or contact us within 14 days of the order with your order number. We acknowledge your statement by email and refund you within 14 days of receiving it, to the payment method used for the order.
Digital products cannot be returned: when you withdraw, you must stop using the files and delete your copies, and your licence ends.
3. Problems with a product: fix, replace or refund
You are entitled to a working product that matches its description, whatever the withdrawal rules. We will fix, replace or, if we cannot do so within a reasonable time, refund you in these cases:
- the download link is broken, expired or does not deliver the files;
- the files are corrupted or incomplete;
- the product does not work in a software version listed on its product page, or does not match its description;
- you ordered the same product twice by mistake and have not downloaded the second copy.
Please tell us as soon as you notice a problem. Your legal guarantee lasts two years from supply for a single delivery of digital content and is not shortened by this page; contacting us early simply makes it faster to solve.
4. What is not refunded
Unless the law gives you a right to it, we do not refund:
- a change of mind after the 14-day withdrawal period has ended;
- dissatisfaction with the creative or aesthetic result on your own footage (results depend on camera, colour space, exposure, monitor and workflow);
- incompatibility with software, versions, operating systems or hardware that are not listed on the product page;
- an installation or usage mistake that remains after we have offered help to solve it.
These exclusions never limit your statutory rights.
5. How to ask
Email hello@hugo-durand.com with your order number, the product name and a short description of the problem (screenshots, error message and your DaVinci Resolve version help). We aim to reply within three business days. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of approval; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank.
6. Payment disputes
Please contact us before opening a dispute (chargeback) with your bank: we resolve genuine problems quickly. In case of a dispute, we may provide the payment provider with the order and delivery records.
7. Model withdrawal form
The simplest way to withdraw is the Withdraw from a contract function. If you prefer, complete and send this form, or simply send us a clear statement by email, only if you wish to withdraw from the contract within the 14 days (see sections 1 and 2).
To: Hugo Durand, 8 Rue Jules Verne, 85430 Aubigny-Les Clouzeaux, France, hello@hugo-durand.com
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following digital content: ____________________
Ordered on: ________ — Order number: ________
Name: ____________________ — Address: ____________________
Signature (only if this form is sent on paper): ________ — Date: ________

Licence
Last updated: 28 October 2026
In short. You can use your Hugo Durand products on your own projects and on client work, personal or commercial. You cannot share, resell or give them away, put them in your own packs or courses, or use them to train AI models.
1. Scope
This agreement covers every digital product sold under the Hugo Durand name (LUTs, PowerGrades, DCTL tools, node trees, guides and related files, the “Products”), including free Products and updates. It is part of the Terms of sale. Products are licensed, not sold: you own your copy of the files, we keep the copyright.
2. What you are allowed to do
When you buy or download a Product you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide and perpetual licence for one individual user to:
- install and use the Product on your own computers for your own projects;
- apply it to footage that you or your client own, in personal and commercial work: films, commercials, music videos, social content, corporate and client productions;
- adjust, combine and build on it as part of your own grade (for example by changing node values or layering your own looks), for your own use;
- keep backup copies for your own use.
No credit is required, although it is always appreciated.
3. Teams and companies
One licence is for one person. If several people in a studio, company or school use a Product, each of them needs their own licence. A freelancer may use the Product for clients’ projects; delivering a graded video to a client does not give the client the Product itself.
4. What you may not do
You may not, in whole or in part, in original or modified form:
- resell, sublicense, rent, lend, give away, share or transfer the Products, including through marketplaces, groups, drives or messaging;
- include them in a pack, bundle, preset collection, course, template or tutorial, free or paid;
- upload them to any public or shared location where third parties can download them, or leak them;
- use the Products, their outputs as datasets, or any file in them to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning or AI models, or to build a competing product;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the underlying formulas, node structures or colour science in order to copy or replicate the Product;
- claim authorship or ownership of the Products, or remove copyright notices;
- use sample or reference footage supplied with a Product other than to learn and test the Product, unless the product page says otherwise: it may not be published, sold or used as stock footage;
- use the Products in a way that infringes the law or third-party rights.
5. Updates
We may release updates. Unless stated otherwise on the product page, updates of a Product you bought are provided to you free of charge and are covered by this licence. Where the law requires it, we supply the updates needed to keep a Product in conformity.
6. Third-party software and trademarks
The Products work inside third-party software such as DaVinci Resolve (Blackmagic Design Pty Ltd). You need a valid licence for that software; we do not provide or support it. Hugo Durand Products are independent, and are not affiliated with, authorised or endorsed by this company.
7. Termination
If you breach this agreement, the licence ends immediately, without refund, and you must delete the Products. We may take legal action, including to claim damages. Sections that by nature should survive termination (ownership, restrictions, liability, governing law) do survive.
8. Guarantees and liability
Your statutory rights, including the legal guarantee described in the Terms of sale, are not affected by this agreement. Subject to that and to mandatory law, the Products are provided as they are, and our liability is limited as set out in the Terms of sale.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by French law; the jurisdiction clause of the Terms of sale applies.
10. Contact
Questions about what you may do with a Product, or about a team licence: hello@hugo-durand.com. To report a leak or unauthorised sharing, write to the same address.

3. Who receives your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the shop, who act on our instructions or as independent controllers under their own policies:
- Shopify (Shopify International Limited, Ireland, and Shopify Inc., Canada): hosting, store, checkout, customer accounts, analytics and Shopify Payments.
- Payment providers available at checkout (for example card networks, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay): payment processing.
- Omnisend: sending newsletters and automated emails, and recording whether you open or click them.
- Email and file delivery tools used to send order confirmations and download links.
- YouTube and Vimeo: videos embedded on the Film pages. They may set cookies when you play a video.
- Advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram) or TikTok, only if we use their tracking tools on the website and you have accepted marketing cookies.
- Our accountant, advisers and, where the law requires, public authorities.
4. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some providers are located, or process data, outside the EEA (for example in Canada or the United States). Where this happens, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies) or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, with additional safeguards where needed. You can ask us for more information.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR and French law you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting earlier processing), and give instructions about what happens to your data after your death. To exercise a right, write to hello@hugo-durand.com; we may ask for proof of identity and will answer within one month. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email.
If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr, 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France), or to your local authority. Residents of some US states and other regions may have additional rights; use Your privacy choices to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data for targeted advertising.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies. Those that are strictly necessary work without consent; the others (analytics, marketing) are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner. See the Cookie policy.
7. Security
The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payment data is handled by Shopify and its payment providers in line with the PCI-DSS standard. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Children
The shop is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will tell you on the website or by email.
Cookie policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
In short. We use a few cookies that are needed for the shop to work (cart, checkout, security, language and currency). Cookies for audience measurement and advertising are used only if you accept them in the banner, and you can change your mind at any time.
1. What cookies are

2. Categories we use

4. How to manage your choices
- Use the cookie banner when you first visit, or reopen your choices from the link Your privacy choices.
- Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it, and your choice is kept for no more than 13 months before we ask again.

- Your browser may send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of data for targeted advertising where the law applies.
5. More information
